Hi Zak Lets do this in a few steps, just lets say you could do this Pring already without any hang ups, How would that be? Let say you have taken a little extra time, so you can play with the bits, that your a little unsure about, and then master that step or steps that seam to be giving you a little truble, you have the choice about how you would like to feel, so if you could feel realy good about having all the time, that you need and want to learn so much better now, how could you feel if you felt your best? and as you can do this so well, now you have restarted to unlearn about learning new thing's, you might not be sure just what all this means, yet you can, in just the right way, so all this fits into place, in just the right way, for you now, you see that when you hear in just the right way, you can get to grips with anything you want to learn, so much better now, and you did, just becouse you can. Lets say it two years from now, how good would you have become at photoreading? so if your that good then, Now your so much better, because you now have all this in side your mind, in just the right way for you to do this, in anyway that works for you now, and it did did it not? Dot worry about my syntax it will work in just the right way for you. Feel good now. That could be the longest run-on sentence I've ever seen. I'm going to consult Guinness and get you some kind of award zak, you've written your plead in a manner in which you could answer yourself. You know you have already taken the first steps towards mastering the PR technology, so stop fussing to yourself about what's holding you back, but rather realize that you are doing everything as you should be. No results? Well just keep practicing the techniques, over and over. I promise it will arrive and with a torrential down pour! You are what you think you are, and if you not only take my word for it, but also understand that you are making progress towards your goal, you will indefinately arrive at your destination. So cheer up, put a smile on your face, and inbetween your practice sessions with Activation (hardest part so dont stress yourself bro, just keep doing it), start writing up some goals that you can apply to your life when you have the PR skills mastered. It is only a matter of time. So if that is a given, stop worrying about it, because time works for you.

The best thing to do if you are stuck today is to give it a rest. I am not yet an expert PhotoReader, but I have certainly come a long way. I remember in the very beginning of my learning journey, I found it really difficult and aggravating to keep the PhotoFocus because my eyes would always try to focus on the page out of sheer habit. I left it for a week or so, and suddenly, I realized that I could easily hold the PhotoFocus state although I'd still lose it every once in a while. I kept practicing it, and now I can mantain it indefinitely and I feel a calm, relaxed satisfaction from the process that I never had before. My activation, I think, is improving in a similar way now. It took me a few months to really stop worrying about the process. After all, this is the only way to get results. So your job is to take a break from it now, acknowledging that you WILL get it, just not today. If it's really causing you anguish, leave it for a week or so, meanwhile programming your subconscious mind to relax and enjoy the process. Maybe you'd like to skim through the Natural Brilliance book. It has some good ideas that may help you. I'm sure AlexK and others will come to the rescue too; this is just my two cents :-) I hope this helps in some way! -Cameron

You've done CD 4 now do 5. Just keep going do the whole course before you worry too much about getting activating right or any of it right for that matter. You need to go through at least once. Guess what... you don't have to activate the book. Play a game and just see what happens if... How could you decide if a cookie tastes good if you don't try it? Remember there is no such thing as failure, you just haven't done it yet. Activation really is no more difficult than regular reading. If you don't want to activate let it go and just listen to the next CD. Since you posted on the forum stalling or giving it a rest probably isn't in the book for you any more than activation is right now. So we need to put activation into perspective (a little humour follows so be forwarned). If you activate "wrong" its going to snap off your (insert part of anatomy of your choice here). Nah it doesn't bite Grab a book. Make it a mystery novel and photoread it before going to bed and just wonder what the book is about and notice your dreams. There is a good chance that this will arouse your curiosity enough to activate the book. Then check out what part of the book played out in your dream. Don't worry that this isn't part of the course nor where you're up to. The only thing that stalls on wanting to activate a book is a lack of curiosity. Since you're more or less learning Photoreading and probably covered enough information about it I strongly suggest let go of activating that one and move on to the next CD. Go easy on yourself, Remember to apply NOPS (read page 132 and 133 for that). Come back and let us know how you went. Alex

zak, hehe, now that I notice your post, you had a long sentence also, but I was referring to Dark Neo. And zak...you have the great Zack Morris to refer to. How would Zack Morris (if he actually wanted to do it...since he hated didactic education) go about with the techniques? Assimilate his attitude, confidence, integrity and influence that directly to the way you think of yourself and the way you apply the techniques.

Hi Zak, I agree with AlexK. Enjoy PR, and play with it. You don't have to master every step before moving on to the next step. Just run through the lot, with a playful attitude and be kind to yourself. Before I bought PR I said that I had 4 weeks and wanted to master it within that time. I was told that the idea was to play with photoreading, and to enjoy it not to "master" it. That sort of thing comes later. Go with the flow and enjoy

Zak, if it helps, this is how my typical procedure with PR'ing works. This is my personal method, regardless of whatever morphs has occured from the original technique. 1.) Prepare book, make sure it's comfortably worked in. Preview it and look through the index and main points of the books so that you have an interest and curiosity with what you wish to get out of it. 2.) Get in Alpha State, just so you're comfortable and not antsy or anything like that. 3.) Beginning with your purpose and intention in your head, diverge your eyes and photoread the entire book with relaxation and if your mind ever drifts just get it back on track since pr'ing only takes a small amount of time. If patience is a problem, make an affirmation to prevent this. 4.) Incubate 5.) Photoread book once more before Activation to refresh your mind. 6.) Post-Preview the book - When you are doing this, do it fast and efficient, looking at all the major points and what you truly want to get out of it. 7.) I prepare 3 papers: 1 is for Trigger Words, 1 is for a simple Mind-Map, and 1 is for Intention, Purpose, and Mind-Probing Questions. If you can already answer some of your Mind-Probing questions, that's a tell-tale sign that you are experiencing some of the benefits already. The more specific the questions, intentions, purposes, the more detailed the results of your activation. Vague factors result with vague results. -NOTE- PLAY AROUND WITH ALL OF 7. You should do it fast and dont worry about missing anything, since this is your first Activation pass. 8.) Activation - Play around with this in whatever manner you feel. There is no definite correct way since the whole purpose of all of this is to create a better connection between your conscious and subconscious. I like to start from the beginning however, noting the Index first, and then I either glide down the centre of each page (or skitter which is more enjoyable sometimes). Remember that the whole point of doing this is not to see and take not of everything as you go, but to allow your mind to signal you to stop and dip/super-read...with every sign of wishing to stop and take a closer look, always take note of this. I wont elaborate any further with describing Activation since you have a brilliant man of the name of Paul Scheele who describes it in far better detail. 9.) Practice makes perfect. No results? Keep doing these techniques until you know the book to your satisfaction and then move on to another book or set of books and you're mind will adapt and become consistently more efficient at this process. --------- Anyways, I know this stuff is said over and over again, but I felt it wouldn't hurt for my routine to be described. However, I bet it's grammatically flawed with my babbling.
