You've done CD 4 now do 5. Just keep going do the whole course before you worry too much about getting activating right or any of it right for that matter. You need to go through at least once.
Guess what... you don't have to activate the book. Play a game and just see what happens if...

Remember there is no such thing as failure, you just haven't done it yet.
Activation really is no more difficult than regular reading. If you don't want to activate let it go and just listen to the next CD. Since you posted on the forum stalling or giving it a rest probably isn't in the book for you any more than activation is right now. So we need to put activation into perspective (a little humour follows so be forwarned). If you activate "wrong" its going to snap off your (insert part of anatomy of your choice here). Nah it doesn't bite 
Grab a book. Make it a mystery novel and photoread it before going to bed and just wonder what the book is about and notice your dreams. There is a good chance that this will arouse your curiosity enough to activate the book. Then check out what part of the book played out in your dream. Don't worry that this isn't part of the course nor where you're up to. The only thing that stalls on wanting to activate a book is a lack of curiosity. Since you're more or less learning Photoreading and probably covered enough information about it I strongly suggest let go of activating that one and move on to the next CD. Go easy on yourself, Remember to apply NOPS (read page 132 and 133 for that).
