Hey, this is going to be my first post and its a long one. i've read quite a bit on the forums and as everyone else, i am eager to learn this. Unfortunately, i havent had much luck, with the dictionary game or activation. I dont feel like i can move on through the tapes without getting SOME kind of hint that my subconcience is getting something (i dont have that hint yet). anyways, this is an outline i made of what i've learned so far (excluding activation).. so i was hoping someone could point out the more important things from the less important.

Step 1: Prepare

1. Make decisions: why do I want to take the time to photoread this? CLEARLY state what I desire and expect to get from the materials.
2. Enter into the accelerative learning state. Here I am not worried about results.

Step 2: Preview (schema)

1. Establish purpose.

2. Title, subtitle, bold, Next page: subtitle, bold. Last Paragraph and then First. (6 minutes)

3. Gather a list trigger words. Books need 23 trigger words (2 minutes)

4. Review, clarify and refine my goals for going further. Is this worth my time? Do I want to get a general overview, or do I want to get the details?

Step 3: PhotoRead

1. Prepare to Photoread (get comfy).
CLEARLY state what I expect to get from the materials

2. Enter the accelerated learning state.

3. Affirm you concentration and purpose.
“as I photoread my concentration is absolute.”
“all that I photoread makes a lasting impression on my inner mind it is available to me
“I desire the information in this book- “book” to accomplish my purpose of “restate purpose”. (reasonable goal) Good Goal – to fully absorb this material and to speed my application of these techniques and concepts in my life.

4. Enter the photo focus state.
Tangerine.

5. Maintain a steady state while Photoreading.
Notice Blip, breathe, chant, and take in all white space.
“re-lax, re-lax, 4,3,2,1 re-lax, re-lax, 4,3,2,1 keep tha state, see tha page”

6. Close.
“I acknowledged the feelings I have received from this book”
“I release this information for my body and inner mind to process.”
“I’m curious as to how many ways my mind can demonstrate that this information is available to me and can support me.”
CURIOSITY.

any help is greatly appreciated

You're number scheme doesn't match the course material. You should start with the summary diagrams in the manual or book. Then add detail you feel you need.

I don't like all of your wording.

1) ... Here I am not worried about results.

This sounds like your don't expect results. I like the curious and observant beginner-like attitude as you enter the ALS.

Step 3, sub-steps 1,2 3,4 seem all jumbled. Check the book again.

You are perfection.

Move through the tapes. The subconscious isn't going to show anything until you've done all the steps.

In fact your outline is incorrect in many places. Keep it simple.

1. Prepare
2. Preview
3. Photoread
4. Activate
5. Rapid read

I am surprised you feel the need to write an outline since it's provided with the course manual. As well as diagramed in a mind map on page 146 and outlined correctly outlined in the book on page 147.

Alex, you could compile a book from all the advice you've given...and I mean regarding all the threads you're an active moderator for.

Yes. Isn't the book already on the forum?

thankyou everyone for your input. i made the outline directly from the tapes, taking many notes and condensing them (based on what paul stressed). Could you please point out where they are wrong? (also IM2, i understand how you were interpreting that but when he said "im not worried about results" im believe sure he was just referring to not getting stressed. However, that 'curious state' does seem to be an integral part of the system. thx again

One of the LSC regulars, Ivan, told me when I began with all these techniques, that regarding affirmations, avoid using the words related to "No, Not, Never...etc"...

For example if you use the affirmation: "im not worried about results", what your subconscious will translate this as is: "im worried about results". The "not" will be taken out and you'll be doing some damage through your actual effort.

As already mentioned the course manual has the full outline check pages 146 to 148 of the book.

Since they come with the course why should we have to say it again on the forum? Or are you implying that you have a bootlegged copy of the tapes?

wow alex, i sure hope i didnt imply that. your right, there is a great outline on pg 147 and 148 of the book that i did not see, and its quite similar to the one i constructed.

blackbox, thats not really an affirmation as much as it was a note on the mental state i was supposed to keep, however, when reading a goal book i also saw that tip so i know what you are talking about.

thx again
