I had recieved the three ideal programs from LS. Ideal mindset, des. action, cons. achievement. I just am having trouble clarifying my goals, and wording them. There is so much I want to accomplish. I see the big picture, just unshure about what steps will take me there.

What paraliminal would work best to combat guilt feelings about spending money and making money. I just went and bought some toys i had been wanting after really being in a hole for over three years. I felt guilty after buying them.

Hi Namreka7, this may sound goofy, but on a Brian Tracy tape I have, he suggests that if you cannot nail down a major goal, make it your major goal to get a major goal.

As far as feeling guilty, maybe a goal could be to not let negative emotions interfere with your life?

I am about 2/3 through Decisive Action, after having completed Ideal Mindset (I bought the set like you did) and I intend to go through the course several times. So I would recommend pick any old goal just to play with it, and I'm sure each time you go through it you will refine and reset your big goals. I have found that only one pass through Ideal Mindset my "major goals" were altered somewhat. What the heck, Ideal Mindset only takes 8 days.

I hope this helps.

George

I've got a question about Ideal Mindset: is it really necessary to complete the course in 8 days? Would it be possible to do the whole thing in a day? I've got the necessary time right now, you know
I don't know if there's been any discussion about this or if there's anything in the course manual or on the tapes.
I guess on one hand, eight days would give the subconscious mind some time to sort things out, but on the other hand, 8 hours of paraliminal learning could give an intesity that might just make change happen more quickly.
I think I'll just try that when I get the courses ...
Imagine, spending 3 quality days with IM, DA and CA, with 8 hours of real intensive learning and goal setting each ... worth an expereince?

What about PR and natural brilliance? When/where do you think is good to fit these in?

When I did the Natural Brilliance course, I couldn't decide on a specific goal or accomplishment. The reason being that it would changed depending on the time of day, day of the week, or the enviroment I was in. So I skipped that part and did the course anyway. I got good results from it, and will redo it in the future when I feel the need. It is too easy at times to postpone progress because I can't make up my mind.

It is still possible to live without money, but most of the world has come to enjoy modern goods and services. Since most of us don't have room in our back pockets for three sheep, two goats, and a chicken, we all now use money. It is not uncommon to feel guilty for taking money for something that comes easy to us, but remember that it doesn't come easy to others. That is why we accept payments, and sometimes have to demand them. When we need something that is hard for us to make, say like a car, we go to someone else and trade our chickens and goats, or money for it. It is not stealing. Only stealing should someone feel guilty for.

If your new toys collect dust, you will feel guilty. If they bring you pleasure and become worn with good use, feelings of guilt will soon be gone and forgotten.

In reply to Xupatl, while I think it is definately possible to benefit from doing at least IM in one day, I think you would benefit more by doing it over 8 days, because part of the course is observing changes in yourself over those eight days and changes other people notice in you. In IM the changes are in primarily in your attitudes and feelings about when you interact with others and do tasks.

For DA, you actually observe how your behaviours change and what results you get, and then decide on how to proceed through the course. So this one I think needs a few days to pass through.

I do think you're onto something, though. After a few passes through IM, when you fully understand the coaching sessions, you could combine the meats of the paraliminals and create your own IM Generator, similar to the Natural Brilliance generator that several have recommended listening to on a regular basis.

namrekca7, the Natural Brilliance modle of goal-setting works wonders in really clarifying a goal. In short, think about what you have now, both positive and negative, about some situation that you would like to experience change on, and think about the outcome, both positive and negative, of making a change to your current situation. Acknowledging the positive bennifits you experience from your current state, and the negative drawbacks that could occur with change, allows you to be conscious of why your preconscious awareness helps to maintain your current state, and why your conscious mind really would like to make the change.

As far as which paraliminals would help about money, I suppose 'Prosperity' would rank high. Most people think of prosperity in terms of money, and having money. I recently won "Beliefs" from an E-Bay auction, so I'm going to use that on my beliefs about money. "Self-Esteem Supercharger" might help with the idea of DESERVING to have money.

Speaking of money and goals, my own goals are to loose 100 pounds and increase my income by $100. I figure those measurable goals would allow me to easily codify my success in percentages. My time frame for measurement is by April 30th, 2003. So far, I'm 5% on my way to the weight-loss.
