What are you doing for activation? What method have you used?

I find it hard to believe that with asking mind probing questions and then superreading and dipping or skittering along side mind mapping that you get "nothing out of activation". How long are you activating for and how many activation passes do you apply before you give up?

Your purpose will help determine what you find in a book. In the case of learning something new, that's your purpose as well as your probable first question for activation. 'What don't I alread consciously know?'

Then I would venture to guess that you are cutting yourself short on your activation time.

Activation is done in a number of passes and comprehension built up in layers. Do 20 to 30 minute activation passes take a 5 mintue break between each, review and do more passes as you need.

If you main complaint is that you have very poor recall with what you've activated then you need to get more of your whole mind into the activation process. Which simply means you must mind map! Build the mind map with each activation pass and you'll discover your recall builds along side your comprehension.
