A few questions about the step of activation...

When you activate and do your mind-maps, what is a good order to do these in? I'm under the impression that you can either mindmap while superreading/dipping, or superread/dip and then mindmap. I could see the advantages of each over the other, but I'm wondering a little what you would consider 'standard practice'.

Standard practice is what works most effectively for the individual. One way I found good is to start mind mapping about 2/3 into my activation time. So if I'm activating for 30 minutes I start mind mapping after 20 minutes.

I also swap between analograffiti and ABC method from the memory Optimizer course.

Whatever method you start with may not be what you ultimately do mostly it is really best to keep a flexible attitude and trust your instinct as to when you are going to start mind mapping. I've done complete activation 2 or 4 passes without mind mapping just creating a summary ABC list and sentence or two. It also depend on your purpose too.

I find mind-mapping helps in retention of information. Been doing it even before I learnt how to PhotoRead.
