Bevinj; here are the reasons why i think you are having problems.You said nothing in your post about what your purpose was for the chemistry book. Your post also says nothing about formulating questions for trigger words and finally your post says nothing about superreading & dipping looking for the answers to the questions you formulated from the trigger words.

You are not feeling anything because you have not told your conscious mind what to look for because you have told your conscious mind what questions you want answered.

So the solution to your problem is

1. Establish your purpose for the chemistry textbook.

2.Write down trigger words and questions for those trigger words and find the answers to the questions by superreading & dipping.

3. Do a mindmap of the chemistry textbook.

Incidentally a textbook is going to take longer to activate than a regular book.If it normally would take you 60 hours to go thru a textbook with photoreading it will take about 20 hours.Then don't forget you are going to have to work on problems and formulas which will take more time.
