Actually you should be using photoreading in combination with activation techniques. Before you photoread you establish your purpose you ask yourself how am i going to use this information once i learn it and why am i learning this information what am i going to do with this information then when you know why you are doing that to accomplish such and such so i can do such and such thing. Now you photoread.

So then you postview after photoreading looking for trigger words words that you feel are very important to your purpose. You write these words down and write down questions for these words.

Then you superread and dip really fast looking for the answers to the questions you formulated and write down your answers.

Then you do a mindmap of the material. You make a mindmap based on your purpose for photoreading the book.

The point i want to make here is that you are going to photoread and then you are going to work to get the information from the book using activation techniques superreading and dipping and mindmapping.

There is no just photoread and i don't have to work i don't have to expend any effort. You do both you photoread and you work to find the information that you need from the book.
