It depends on your learning style in some ways. Some people don't like seminars because they feel others are watching them and others love seminars because they see everyone experiencing the same learning curve.

In all the seminars are better if you like to interact with the instructor and ask questions as you go. You can repeat the course in most cases.

The home study is great if you like to work at your own pace and are disciplined enough to carry out the course to the end.

In all a lot of people do both at some point and discover there is that little something that they missed on a second listening and by looking at it from the other perspective.

If you can afford it I do recommend the live course. YOu can learn the full course in a weekend and proves to be the fastest method of learning.
