I have recently bought a photoreading book translated in chinese. I wonder if there is any difference between the course or seminars recommended by Learning Strategies corporation and the book I have bought. Please help me, thanks.

Through conversations with someone who has both the English book and the Chinese book I found that the chapter of Questions and Answers have been edited out. However the important information is still there. So one can learn from the book.

The home study course provides exercises to try the steps on and helps you to build the confidence as does the live seminar. The live seiminar also allows for questions and answers as well as a set time when you will learn it.

Also the NOPS part had be edited out in the chinese version. I was wondering if the translater knows how to PR at all. All he did was translated the book and the book was sold very cheap here in Taiwan, base on how most Taiwanese view about learning they would think photoreading is a fairy tale and the book is just a scam. Thank god I am not those majority, whew~~~.

When I first time read the chinese version one, I discover that the skills described inside was really easy, but not detail enough. Will it be a good decision if I buy the home study course provided by LSC? Yet I am just a secondary 5 student in Hong Kong...

They are relatively easy. Try them and see how you go with the techniques you can learn from the book. That could save you a bit of money. If you get it but still not quite sure about it then I suggest you get the home study course. The home study course is excellent because it teaches all the steps of the system with exercises to try it on and works well for people who like to hear instructions rather than read instructions

I would rather read the instructions than listen to the instructions since my listening ability is not good enough. There is one sample tape played in this website. I can hardly follow the words he say...
