Hi,

I wanted to ask experienced PhotoReaders if they think that PhotoReading would be effective in studying for the CPA exam, where details are VERY important?

If so, would you suggest any modifications of the system to suit my purposes?

Thanks!

Photoreading would be very benificial for the CPA exam however if i were you i would plan way ahead. The reason it would be very benificial to you is because you would have the information on both a conscious and other than conscious level.

The key word here is layers. Getting the big picture first and then breaking down the information to smaller parts.

The brain works best working from whole to parts. The brain does not work well getting some fragmented isolated part. Get the big picture first and break it down.

Don't do marathon studying sessions. Study for 20 minutes then take a 5 minute break. After 90 minutes of study take a 15 minute break.

When i said earlier about planning way ahead what i meant was the very first day of class is when you should have started preparing for the CPA exam.

I'm experienced, but no pro.

I'd say that the system at least makes stronger retention of the information, even if it may seem to take longer. Really, I remember stuff better if I zoom through it many times than plow it once. It's so much more fun.

Learn the system first before applying it to your exam/study material.

I'll definitely learn the system b4 I apply it to the exam.

I also have a lot of question and answer exercises so I will be able to determine how well I'm learning the information.
