Yes and no. I do a lot of breathing exercises on a daily basis, but sometimes that only brings strong conciousness to my entire body, which is a good thing, but not quite focused enough for me.

What I like about the tangerine technique is that it focus my mind and if you imagine your reading location or if you imagine what the back of your head looks like and the surrounding image, as if you were standing behind you - it really helps to focus your vision as well.

I'd stick with the tangerine technique personally, but I'm sure there are some alternatives.

Remember - DON'T get stuck up on the details, but instead on the outcome. If you are concentrating your mental energies, then you are successful IMO.
