Hi, I think I'm doing alright with the first three steps, but when it comes to the activation process that's where I'm struggling.

Could you give me any tips on utilizing the activation process?

also, Could your purpose for reading just be to understand the book as you would normally read it?

Same here, I have a question on superread and dip activation. Do you just go staright down the center of the paragraph and find whatever words or phrases that capture your attention or interests?

Another form of activation, so called skittering is reading the first and last sentence of each paragraphs. This technoque seems to take longer than superread and dip. Do any of you use skittering tech instead of S&D?

Activation often fails when

No purpose for reading or poor purpose.
Lack of mind probing questions
Giving up too soom

Give it 3 to 6 activation passes. If you're read my post on my test/experiment you will notice that clarity comes in layers.

RyanS... your purpose "Could your purpose for reading just be to understand the book as you would normally read it"

My question is what on earth for? What you going to do with the book just waste a few hours to forget it anyway?

A purposes is doing something so that you can... what is it you can do when you've read the book?
