Okay here goes, I'm a beginner in photoreading and can only photoread correctly by looking over the book to view an object from afar. That is the only time when I can do the photofocus step correctly. I have tried looking at the book from the middle of the two pages, but I can't seem to photofocus. For those who have been through this before, can you tell me how you adjusted from looking over the book to looking at the middle of the two pages? I find it difficult because when you look over the book, there is something that you can focus on (from what I have experienced: the farther the object the better the photofocus, meaning i see the blip page), but on the other hand, when you look in the middle of the two pages there is nothing to focus on.
When I look in the middle of the pages, I see the 4 corners of the book, but I just can't get the same effect compared to looking over the book and focusing on an object behind it. I hope this makes sense, if not please let me know. The question comes down to: How can I advance from looking over the book to achieve photofocus to looking in the middle of the two pages to achieve photofocus? Are there any tips that anyone find particularly helpful?
