I find that when studying technical books, PhotoReading the book prior to studying it helps me to grasp the material much, much faster. Basically, its like I just "get it". Prior to learning Photoreading, I'd encounter material that would just throw me off, or I'd struggle with a concept, or I'd have to simply read, and re-read the material.
Now, I PR, then I read through the book and it goes quite quickly - I find that I actually enjoy reading the material because I'm learning without struggling which is what makes it enjoyable.
Your mileage may vary though, you could PR, and then activate simply by writing code.
