Hi! i am a new member.

After reading PRWMS, i immediately apply the system for my textbooks & reference books( because lacking of time for applying the whole system for non-fiction books ). i am not sure whether it REALLY works or not but i do it comfortably & i fell i have better comprehension when comparing with the reading process i have used before.

i tend to skip many steps in the system such as preparation, mind probing questions, affirmation before & after PR, going into accelerate learning state before PR & sometimes tangerine technique.

i also tend to dip frequently as the reference books are written in point form or a lot of chemical formula.

Am i at the correct path?

apologise for my improper sentences as English is not my native language.

Please feel free to give any suggestions or opinions.

Thanks.

If you're not sure it's working go back to doing all the steps.

If you haven't learned it yet, don't start skipping steps... without experiencing you'll not know what is supposed to be happening.

If you don't have time to learn Photoreading first then now is not the time to learn it.

Learn first on non fiction books since textbooks require some adaption of the systmen and without knowing the system you're not going to know if you're not learning photoreading or are merely having trouble understanding the textbook.

For textbooks, mind mapping becomes a must do if you want to have quick notes and avoid end of year review, refreshers and cramming.

what i mean i have better comprehension is base on the topics that my teachers haven't taught. For example, i able to complete one-third of chemistry syllabus ( organic chemistry ) without facing any problem & faster for several-fold.

Is it indicate that i can keep on? OR it can be better if i relearn that whole system?

Thanks.

I don't think we ever stop learning how to PhotoRead better. Reviewing the course. experiementing again with the steps we leave out seems to be important to getting better at it.

If you are happy with the results and level of learning. Why should you let someone else be the judge?

It is a wonderful idea, thanks Alex.

Unfortunately, the PR course is not available, so i actually learn PR from the book & this forum.

Many PRers say that they have significant different in their dreaming after PR. Is it every PRers have that experience? i never experience that, what should i do?

Thanks.

On Learning the system through the book and this forum I say. Well Done! Still experiment with adding back the steps that you skip. They often boost you up another level. If you've been consistently doing All the steps you can drop the strong focus on some parts and notice what happens when you freeflow for a while.

Like a piano player sometimes we playscales for practice and other times we get straight to playing music.

On Dreams. Continue PhotoReading. Everyone elses schedule is not your schedule, persistence is the key, along with being open to your experience not someone elses. Immitation is the nices form of flattery but it's never the same as having your own unique a-ha experience.

Ha! i feel great when photoread with the accelerate learning state ( don't know it is the ACTUAL state or not ) because i can relax myself with consistent breathing.

It is awesome to superread! How can i superread with the speed of the motion of my finger? How can my eyes READ one row at one time?

Thanks

Just run your eye down the center of the column. Your mind knows when your eyes need to move to the edges since you can really see that anyway. Like noticing movement out of the corner of your eye you turn and face it to see what's coming.

That's what dipping is for, slowing down enough to read that phrase or two or sentence. Then moving on quickly to avoid getting caught up in 'passive reading'.
