Excellent, you did the exercise. It means you have the potential to notice what a diffence the PhotoReading System makes
Make no judgements it was only to give you an idea of your starting point. Keep going with the course. Learning builds in layers and the tapes are intended to be listened to one after the other once you've noted your results, nothing more.

When I read, I have to sound out the words in my head or I have no comprehension.
Also, I can't group more than 2 or 3 words together for the other forms of speed reading.
So what? You're learning to PhotoRead. Continue with the course you'll be shown techniques that can double your natural reading speed in no time. For the record i still like to subvocalise when I read... I do it whilst 'dipping' and a whole lot less than what I did with traditional reading.
While many will tell you it's best to not subvocalise at all whilst reading. I have found a personal benefit for subvocalising and even so I fly though the average books in 20 to 90 minutes depending on my purpose for reading

My field of view is great, I just have problems as I presented earlier.
I lag far behind the time limits for previewing also.
Any suggestions??
Keep going with the course. Check page 17 of the PhotoReading book.. the bullet points What you have to give up
