Right I know the steps but i was refering to what paul says in the self study course. He states that he is always asked about books that people have to read and can't come up with a purpose. He states that "to learn the steps of PhotoReading" can be used in those cases.
And in your post you stated your purpose was

So I wondered if pauls fail safe purpose was just to be used in the learning stages of pr or if as in your case a general purpose would have any merit in the activation stage.
I don't have trouble finding a purpose for some books however I've been pr'ing 2-10 books a day and have trouble defining a specific purpose for some of them.
Some times I don't know if it's pitt street or christmas.
