Spend about 5 mintues on entering the Accelerative Learning State the first few times. You can do it already you're just not in the habit of setting it into place for learning.

The state you enter your mind visits quite frequently through out the day so looking to see if you got it right is self defeating. All you need is a relaxed state of awareneness.

If you want to check if your at the Accelerative Learning State remember the relaxing feeling of a bath. That it. If you feel like you're being chased by a cranky person with a cane...(the feeling you get is similar to am i doin't it right? Am I there yet... the cranky person with the cane is you) just let go and relax, bring your attention to the presence.

Trust the mind it follows your intention. If you intend to get the Accelerative Learning State rigth the hard way... you'll get exactly that. If you just intend to do the steps see what happens and be okay with whatever you experience. It's a lighter route. Expect the learning curve and goe easy on yourself.

That's what I thought at first too. Instead, try postviewing immediately after Photoreading (pg. 55), then incubate, mindprobe, then activate.

I am still trying to get this right. Besides 5 day test, is there any other thing that I can test my photoreading skills?

The ultimate test is what did you get from the book? Did you answer your questions? After doing all the steps have you check it out you gained through a rapid read?

Rapid reading is not always necessary, is it?

It seems your greatest challenge is your purpose. If you don't have a very strong, clear purpose & know what you are trying to get from the book it is very unlikely you will get any results.

So what is it that you are trying to get from this book? Why do you need to know this information? How will you use or apply this information?

When you have no purpose the other than conscious mind has no idea of what you want.if you tell the other than conscious mind nothing you get nothing back in return.i think that had everything to do with you getting nothing after photoreading because you did not tell the other than conscious mind what you wanted.

So you tell the other than conscious mind my purpose is to; (and you state your very clear, well defined purpose based upon what you want from the book)and bingo! Your other than conscious mind now knows what you are looking for knows the exact page in book where the answer to your question is. Speaking of questions & Alex already addressed this but it is worth repeating. Questions really good,specific questions are very important to you accomplishing your purpose.

Albert Einstein once said that if he were going to be killed & only had 1 hour to figure how to save his life, he would devote the first 55 minutes of that hour to searching for the right question. Once he had the right question, Einstein said finding the answer would take only about 5 minutes.

If i were you i would go back & re-read both Scribe's & Alex's respones to your post. There is a gold mine of great information in their responses to your post.

No; rapid reading is not always necessary.

In the beginning Rapid Read a few of the books you activated that you felt you got everything you need from.

It provides a scale against your experience. How much did you miss. Would one more activation pass have found it. Was it really worth the extra time finding that one thing you missed (if any).

It helps you identify if you're short changing yourself on the activation step or spending more time than necessary. So while rapid reading is not necessary, it can be useful as an indicator how your activation is going.
