Hi, I'm living in a big city, and it's quite difficult to find a place where there are no noises at all. I'm living in an apartment..

I'm looking for a headphone, which can keep out all the noises, like from cars, neighboors, dogs etc. It's so irritating to hear the neighboors dog, when I'm listening to a paraliminal session*g*. Grr..

Do anybody know a great place on the internet where to buy a good headphone, which can be connected to a walkman and keep out all the "low" noises of the daily lifes??

So I really can relax...

I can't recommend good headphones I'm still on the search for a pair loud enough or that I can wear over hearing aids so I have a similar problem. I don't notice external noises consciously anymore because I got into the habit of telling myself "external noises help me to focus more deeply within while I'm listening to this tape". Do that each time you pop in a paraliminal. It works

These might be too expensive but I recommend the Sony MDR-V600 headphones. I can't hear much other then the tape when I use these.

I use these because they can handle the low binaural beat frequencies used in the later levels of the holosync program.

Look for a set of "closed" headphones. They typically have a band of foam on the outer edge to seal around your ear and block out ambient noise.

They are more for home use than portables, so many come with a long cord and a 1/4" plug. But, if they do, you can just tie up the extra cord and get an adapter at Radio Shack for the plug if you use it on a portable.

I know Koss makes some decent headphones of this type at a reasonable price. www.koss.com And there are a few other more expensive audiophile quality brands out there.

The Sennheiser headphones are also highly recommended for listening to high quality audio.

Ok, thanks to you all..

I have tried some headphones now, to see which ones served the best purpose. Tried them at home, and delivered them back, except one. And actually, there is no one which really can keep out all sounds...

So.. Something different must happen.

So I used some NLP, to get myself to be relaxed in very noise enviroments. Created the feeling of "Sounds that are unimportant to me, can help me relax even deeper". Imagined that I heard the sounds of the "dog behind the wall" and then felt relaxed. Imagined the sound of somebody upstairs was going around, and then felt relaxed. (All about 20 times). Then I stated my purpose for the paraliminal-session, and shifted my attention to the tape.

Now I can be so relaxed and feel so good when hearing the tapes. This is sooo great.

One more great thing I have benefitted from this is, that I can sleep as long as I want in the weekends*g*. Before it was quite difficult to sleep longer than 8 o'clock in the morning, because some old big man was jumping around upstairs. Ok, not old, but big . Now I KNOW I CAN relax when I hear these sounds. Therefore I also KNOW that I CAN sleep as long as I want. GRRREAAT .

This may be late but I had an idea today how about useing some of those headphones that the guys use to keep the noise out when they are useing jackhammers and simply use ear phones that have no over the head band put them in your ears and cover with the big phones.

This I have tried*s*. And they are actually only good at HIGH voices (like 38 db). And most of them are made like "you can talk when you work with a friend, and you will not hear the high noises". They don't protect the low-noise range..

But it would be a good idea if they made some..

The last ones I checked was some, which others used on shooting contests! When you have to really concentrated shooting, all other noises like from the public etc. should be kept out, so you really can concentrate 100% on shooting. buuut they are not protecting 100% of all noises either. Like low dog sounds behind walls. low "deep" noises like footsteps upstairs. But these was the best I found, to use with earphones .

This could actually be a good tip to a firm*gg*. To make headphones, specially made for selvimprovement tools. "Totally peach phones"*g*..

By the way.. I'm quite ok with what I have achieved by using NLP here on this subject. Because it will make you psycologically stronger. Learning to relax totally in a noise enviroment. If you can conquer that, you're gooood!*s*

You might want to try KOSS, they make good quality headphones with volume control.
