I recall Pete Bissonette commenting on this forum that we achieve the proper state for PR'ing after having turned a few pages while with divergent eyes. If this is truly the case then what is the purpose for the relaxation process that precedes the page turning? Couldn't one just state their purpose and mid-way through the book begin their affirmations?

Because everyone who learned the divigernt gaze first learned to be relaxed about it.

The preparation that we do before hand helps you to get there confidently as in providing a protocol for your mind that this is what you intend to do.

It also helps you to learn to enter the Accelerative Learning State prior to a learning activity. This state is for enhanced learning, where setting your intention and purpose is easier. Without intention and without a purpose you're not necessarily taking in the information even though you had the brainwave for it. The preparations help the activation.

Like I've often said train with it no longer than 3 minutes for your PhotoReading after about 3 weeks of daily use the protocl is habit and you'll be able to set your intention/purpose with a deep breath and 30 second, then you start to PhotoRead you are not only in the right brainwave state you are also in the right emotional brain state.
