Purpose
I always like a really strongly felt purpose. Can you see when you are using the information? Can you hear yourself using it and how others are responding? Can you feel how you would feel if you had total mastery of this material?

You purpose can change from activation pass to activation pass. Maybe going from general to specific, or from topic to topic.

Prepare
Sounds like you are only doing the preview. It also sounds like you are spending too long in preview. The preview is to make you only slightly familiar with the material and hopefully increase your curiousity. You haven't mentioned keywords.

PhotoRead
It sounds basically correct. I always feel my purpose then release it then go into accelerated learning state.

Also you didn't mention anything about closing affirmations.

Activation
You should be using the super read and dip. It's not quite the same as scanning. Spend a minute or two to enter state and notice how you feel, scan your entire body. Then start super reading and be aware of your body. Use any bodily or mental trigger you experience and dip. Never question the urge or sign to dip. Accept everyone and thank it. After a while you learn to interpret your triggers.

Definitely mind-map, use lots of colours. Don't worry about what you write. This is not a final copy. You want to do this without consciously filter the information you are recieving. Just let it all our. You can redo it later IF you feel you need to. Personally, this was a tough one for me to relate to. Eventhough I had experience the mental filtering and the breaking through those filters in learning to draw. It is such a powerful feeling when you suddenly are free of the filters and amaze yourself with what you can do.

Here's what you need to know about mind maps. You other than conscious mind LOVES colours, images, shape. Use them freely. Don't save blue for what you think are connection, or black for main points. You can't do something wrong. You just can't. Start with anything, relax and go, and go. Your mind will direct you to the information you want. Maybe you'll think you're wasting time doodling, but let that judgement go and soon you'll understand how it relates to what you what to know.

Remember don't take the notes to seriously. You're supposed to be playing with it. All of it. Including that scary permanent stuff called writing. Hey, try throwing a couple of mind-maps in the garbage after spending 20 minutes on them, just so you feel better about not taking your creation to seriously.

You are perfection.
