There lies a big problem. You don't know what you want from the book and cannot activate accordingly. Youre being vague and just looking and verfiying all the words are known to you?????? In a studying a language that might be a resonable course of action but it in no way is going to activate the book even towards your vague purpose.
Ask the Author questions about the subject that you need to know in order to successfuly fulfil your purpose.
If you're learning to PhotoRead and especially if you are learning on your own first hone the skill on non technical books that interest you. Apply the 5 day test from page 76 of the PhotoReading book. Do all the steps they are summarised near the back of the book. Consider drawing (not photocopy, draw) the mind map to remind you of all the steps.
