I am just wondering why you would photoread novels. Don't you want to savor the adventure... instead of reading it at 60,000 WAM and then asking yourself questions about it, don't you want to take your time? that's the meaning of epic.

What are your views on it?

Also, I hear purpose is an extremely vital portion of activation. When reading a novel, what are you going to make for your purpose? All I read a novel for is to have fun doing it, not really gain any long-term things out of it.

PhotoReading lets you savor novels. I still PhotoRead them the details are much clearer and I catch the subtle clues that I seem to have the knack of missing with traditional reading yet I finish the book 3 times faster. I do go through novels at a leisurely pace however I don't care for sitting through a moview for more than 3 hours and I tend to read a novel in one sitting to savour the story this meant that I often spent 8 to 12 hours straight on a novel with traditional reading. Getting that down to 90 minutes or 3 hours is great fun and I get to savour it.

For novels what is usually your purpose for reading it. To enjoy the story to see how it unfolds to lose yourself in an adventure for a while. Purpose is naturally different if it is "required reading" the outcome required is usually different than merely being entertained by the book.

Oh yeah, after you have photoread the novel, should you rapid read or superread? If oyu just go to the parts that seem to pop out to you when super-reading, you will miss a lot of story and likely not know whats going on. Moderately paced Rapidreading maybe?

Depends on your purpose. (Where do you want to go from here?) What do you want to know from the book?

I personally move straight to rapid reading. Occasionally I might do a superread, especially when the novel is given to me and I want to know if I even want to read it or just know enough to decide that's it.

Rapid reading is closest to traditional reading, the best pace is using rhythmic perual ranging from analitcal reading (a clue or code might get this attention in a novel) to superreading and dipping speeds, the bits about the sunset and humidity (nice to know but don't need a slow read to take it al in right?). Some pages might even be turned at PhotoReading pace.

You'll know but it won't be one speed all the way through the book.
