I will take your advice.
I have a pretty good idea of what is going to be on the test. But, I don't now feel like I have much retention on what I read in the textbook (I didn't do all the reading assignments). And, I am responsible for 600+ pages of the most boring stuff you can imagine. (If anyone ever needs a sleep aid, I can lend you this book.)
