I don't really see the pages and words in a book.Sometimes I have had the same kind of experience of seeing words, but mainly other images.
When dreaming, I often get moments of amazing clarity. It's like I really am there, seeing whatever it is I'm seeing, for real. But then, it's more real than real.Hard to explain I guess. This is what lucid dreaming is, where I actually am in the dream, conscious, but dreaming.I don't keep the amazing clarity for long.Usually it's all very clear, but my aim is to make it all amazingly clear, all the time, every time. That's what I'm working towards.
I don't worry about seeing words and recalling books photographically.I don't see much benefit, unless it's a list of facts.
If you see the words of a book in your mind, you still have to read those words, don't you.I prefer perceiving my feelings about a book, and image streaming them, rather than merely regurgitate the individual words.
It's so true what Salvador Dali said:
"What is a television apparatus to man, who has only to shut his eyes to see the most inaccessible regions of the seen and the never seen, who has only to imagine in order to pierce through walls and cause all the planetary Baghdads of his dreams to rise from the dust. "
Dali!
