The stereogram in the manual is the most challenging to see. Print some out from the web to play with.
Otherwise just do the Imaginary-X Technique. Notice the four corners of the book while looking into the center crease. Instead of looking at the words notice at the pattern of white between and around the words. The blip page will then show up when you're ready. In the mean time you are in Photofocus without noticing the blip that's all
If you seriously want to play with the blip page, grab a book go outside and pick an object in the distance, then slowly bring the book up into the view about 12 to 18 inches (30 to 45cm) away from your face. Keep your focus on the distant object and just notice the blip appearing. You might find it easier to PhotoRead by looking over the top of the book at something 6 to 10 inches (14 to 21cm) away.
