PhotoReading is not reading and it's not skimming we are achieveing better than 50% comprehension of the text by using the Whole system.
Ironically those companies only compare the PhotoReading step not what you are taught to do in Whole Mind System. You do not need to "Skim" at 2000 wpm to finish a book in 20 minutes with only 50% comprehension. I wrote a comprehensive book report after spending 15 minutes with the book.
About that "contest" 7th place reading speed of 90wpm with 25% comprehension is interesting.
Even with that current reading speed that person would have finished the book with a lot better comprehension. Had he applied the PhotoReading system to the book. Using the activation techniques for the remainder of of the 2 hours. In that time his comprehension levels would have been 70 to 90% and he would have completed the whole book using his current reading speed and skills. The reason he failed so miserably is that he was still in the first chapters of the book.
At the PhotoReading Retreat in February 2004, 120 people PhotoRead and activated a book in 30 minutes and at the end of that 30 minutes gave a detailed report of what that book was about. The lenght of the books averaged 99,000 words. None of us would read at 2000wpm. We use a different approach to reading.
