Has anybody tried the Personal Celebration Series? I would like some feedback on this. Thanks.

Hi!
I've got 3 of the four PC-tapes as part of Ideal Mindset/Decisive Action/Consistent Achievement ... to be honest it's a nice experience but not life-changing ... the whispering-part is far too short for my taste.
The whole thing is more of a motivational tool; beautiful, but not powerful.
but that's just my .02 EUR ... try it, you can always send it back.

PS: hehe on the second tape I got really afraid that the whispering would stay with me .. I shouldnÄt have watched a beatiful mind, i think

I love it, personally. It's good for moving closer to what you want out of life. It's an excellent resource for when you need to overwhelm yourself with positive statements.

I've heard good things about this program and have been considering the purchase. What appeals to me is that it can supplement paraliminals since it can be listened to while you're in a fully conscious state, so it is one of the few programs available that you can listen to while driving.

I remember, just after I started working at Learning Strategies, talking to someone about the series. I had yet to listen to the tapes, and he told me he'd had a major confrontation with a family member who he was very close to, and felt awful about the situation and about himself. He said he felt terrible inside. He had no one to turn to and finally had to leave the house. He got into his car and put in "Being." He didn't expect much, but gradually his feelings of anger, frustration, and sadness wore away. He felt better and even hopeful about his situation. By the time he pulled into the driveway he felt wonderful.

I've heard a couple of posts where people say it's not a powerful tape series but I always think about this man's experience. For him it helped melt away the negative feelings he had and accomplish good, warm feelings. He needed to hear positive affirmations and feedback, something he was not getting from the people around him.

This is going to sound strange, but here it is.

Before I bought the Personal Celebration series, I could not accept a compliment, or even a positive observation. I would actually become angry if someone would insist that I was a good person, or that I was their friend.

I like the Personal Celebration series because I know the voices aren't talking about me as an individual, and because I'm not in a situation where I go all Polarity Responder, I can believe what they say, because it is my observation, not theirs.

I hope this makes sense.

Naw, I listened to Natural Brilliance to the point where I constantly had Paul Sheele's voice in my head. While self-hatred is still a bear, it's gotten a lot better since I discovered LSC.

Actually, Hel, I've printed out your message to me and posted it to my refrigerator.

OK, here's a better explanation of why I love the Personal Celebration series.

Most people's external and internal communication involves distortion, deletion and generalization. (See “Structure of Magic” by Bandler and Grinder for more details). The messages in the Personal Celebration series are also distorted, deleted and generalized. For example, consider the affirmation “You belong here.” Where? In the space your body is occupying? In the place described in the Personal Celebration series? If you’re listening at work, does “here” refer to your position within the company? The affirmation is on the same level as the negative self-talk most people give themselves, and thus is like “anti-matter” inside of your brain.

Also, the sonic effects are beautifully done, which makes the scenes described all the more believable.
