Hello everyone, I'm new to photoreading. And I am a at least 98%-average-in-every-class student. However, after I tried photoreading for about 3 weeks. My grades are dropping to 95's. So I have a question to ask. When you guys photoread. Do you understand all of the information with great recall and retention? Because I sure don't. I feel very, what's the word...empty. I feel like I don't really understand the material at all and that I kind of know it and kind of don't. I don't know if I know the information or if I'm lying to myself. I really tried to adhere to the photoreaidng tips. I read the book 7 times. And I follow EVERYthing it told me to do. I had an open mind, etc. I've been doing for three weeks. Sure I am able to get over material much faster. But after I photoread. I feel like i've gained very little knowledge. Then the Tuesday that just past. I used my old method of reading. Took my chemistry test on wednesday. And I got a 100%. So please tell me what I should do. All advices are appreciated! Thank you and have a nice day!

Please explain to me Patrick why your post mentions nothing about writing a list of trigger words.Please explain to me Patrick why your post says nothing about asking mind-probing questions about these trigger words and why your post does not mention anything about superreading and dipping to find answers to these mind-probing questions?

In the 7 times you read the book are you going to try and tell me that you saw nothing about establishing a purpose, you saw nothing in the book about looking through the book for trigger words and that you saw nothing in the book about superreading and dipping to find answers to mind-probing question?

You said you followed everything it told you to do. Well i sure would like to know what the everything was because your post definitely does not tell us what you were doing.

I see this pretty frequently people will not do or follow the Photoreading book's instructions they won't establish a purpose, they won't write a list of trigger words, they won't superread and dip to find the answers to mind-probing questions and then they wonder why photoreading is not working for them.

Photoreading works Patrick but you do have follow the instructions and apply the techniques.

Mind map. Get the mind active when you activate.

Follow all the steps. Only 3 weeks using PhotoReading you need to use all the steps some more.

This means activate until the book gels and then finish with a rapid read to check if you missed anything. It's not failure to notice you missed something during your activation when you rapid read. It' training your mind to get in touch with giving you the information you need. When you find something you're going 'hey mind this is the sort of stuff I need to know.'

Put of curiosity the book you used your old method of reading on, did you at some point PhotoRead it?

I only see *one* step being completed, "read" -- by which I assume you mean photoread. As the book, workshops, CDs and videos all say, you won't have the information consciously after you photoread.

No one's trying to beat you up here, but you do have to follow the program.
