When we ask a question. To demand a clear answer in perfect form we create a block. Bit like when you know someones name it's on the tip of your tongue but the mind doesn't release it. We expect it all to make sense in an instant. The fact that we don't know it all in that instant disappoints us.

It's like trying to lift a car with your hands. You simply can't.

When you talk about it with someone the mind turns it on more slowly. This time you're using a jack to lift the car. When you talk about it with someone you get a back and forth flow of information.. A question leads to a partial answer which leads to another question and in the slow space of a conversation you know you understand the answer to your question.

The difference is when you ask yourself. You're lifting the car by yourself and with your bare hands using only your strenght.

When you talk it over, asking and answering questions with someone else you're using leverage to use your strenghts more efficently.

BTW I have an article on my blog that discusses this topic in more depth.
