If you're like me, you have found that sometimes page turning near the end of a book (especially the last 25 pages) tend to bog down a bit, as one's finger battles with the book cover. The pages are shorter than the cover in the case of a hardback, and the book gets flimsy in the case of a paperback. A simple trick is to use a post-it to affix an index card between the last page and the book cover. The post-it holds the card in place, which then protrudes well above the top of the book. The finger(s) brush against the card and more easily find the page. The fingers are shielded from the book cover, and the book is a tad stiffer at the end.
