I bought the PR how study course some time back but never went past the second CD. Now I am starting again and am going to do the entire course. Need some suggestion on what is the best way to go through the course :

I have 3 optins in mind . Pls suggest which is best or if you can suggest some new approach. I want to go through the entire course as fast as I can. since I have some free time now.

1. Go through all the CD in one go one after the other.

2. Go through CDs 1 -4 in one day on a Sunday and the rest of the CDs the next sunday.

3. Study the course daily for say an hour or so.

The first 2 are feasible or me since I can devote entire weekend for this. But on a weekday I am on work and cant devote more than 30 mins to PR ( atleast now ).

Option 2 or 3 are best.

You only need to listen to one session daily. When you do the exercises along with the listening it should take you no longer than 45 minutes per session. Give the weekend a couple of extra session. Make a start and continue during the week. If you only have 30 minutes listen to the tracks and do the suggested exercises the next day. Listen to the exercise follow up information after doing the exercise. This would take 20 to 30 minutes a day. Even if you can't do them everyday do it on the days you can.

You can always play with the PhotoReading step when you have a couple of minutes to spare every day.

thanks for the reply. Just one more thing.

I have a weeklong holiday coming up in Nov 1st week ( 9 days adding the weekends ).

I want to spend it learning some useful skill. PR of course.

What do you think I should do to make maximum use of this time available to me.

I plan to finish going through the course before my vacation starts. So I can use these 9 days to really master it do lots of practise...etc.

I dont know if it is possible so quickly, But I am looking for some stuff to do during these days so that later PRing will be a natural habitual skill for me which I can use profitably...

Any suggestions on how best I can do this ?

Once you learned it just apply the techniques from the 5 day test. You might want to PhotoRead and activate one book every two or three days so instead of leaving the book overnight do one session in the morning and one in the afternoon.
(page 76 of the PhotoReading book)

Also just PhotoRead a book here and there throughout the day and do a short 12 minute postview. You might decide to activate those books sometime down the track or not at all. Do it here and there.

The key is not to expect mastery within those 9 days but build a solid step toward habitually using it. Remembering it takes 21 ot 30-days to create a habit. Those nine days are a good way for solid start.

Practice the photofocus state all the time. Where you diverge your eyes and they separate. For me, I apply it to everything. For instance, a pen might be close by and I pick it up and do the photofocus step making the pen appear double. I do this with my knife and fork, a couple, lightswitch, anything at anytime. Eventually your eyes will become naturally divergent and the most incredible thing will happen to you.

You will get to the stage where you can see the whole page, all the writing clearly, where someone else who doesn't know about photofocus will only see one word clearly or a few words a best.

If you do nothing else, do this. Practice the photofocus whenever you can.

And yes Alex , you put it in the correct words, My idea was to get a real good head start using these 9 days so I can progress really quickly in the future....

Hi Alex and everyone,

My vacation starts next weekend. I am a lot confused . I need some advice.

My primary purpose in learining PRing is so that I can go through the technical books ( I am a computer programmer) much faster. As of now my skills are totally out of date and I am getting huge stress at worke because I am unable to catch up due to lack of technical knowledge.

I had initially thought about spending this vacation learning some technical stuff relevant to my work. But then changed it to learning PRing in the hopes that if I spend good time learning PR now , it will help me much in learning the tech stuff later.

I need ur advice as to whether it will really help me come out of this "crisis" at work ??

Heard about the PhotoRead 3 to 10 books a day technique? Activate just one.

Include your technical books in the pile. Don't start activating those until you are satisfied with your techniques on some non-fiction books.

Then when activating the computer books handle it like a textbook. PhotoRead the chapter you want to activate (no incubation required).

See if you can PhotoRead your computer books at least once daily or even 3 to 5 times during the day.

Start the 5 day test on one of your computer books about 3 days before you return to work. Just to see what you get.

hi im intrigued by how u talk about developing the photofocus state. im a beginner to photoreading myself, so far ive been using the X technique, though i can manage to get the blip.

the only problem with the blip is that i can only sustain it steadily for a moment or two before the one page becomes ontop then alternates (basically not that steady)...

how do u make objects look double???
i think ur right divergent gaze is very useful especially considering ive been a person who traditionally focuses on groups of words.

Search for stereograms ror vision 3D images
play with them to get the divergent gaze for PhotoReading.
