Hi, it's been a long since I've asked for help. But I've put off PRing for some while, and getting used to it again.

For a long time, I've felt so stressed out that my mind seems to be blocked now. I constantly get overwhelmed trying to make the right decision, always regretting the one I just made, no matter what it was. Did you ever get so stressed out for so long (meaning, several months continuously) that your mind begins to blank out, you feel stupider, and you start panicking? That's sort of what I'm going through right now. I used to be able to PR and have this enriching feeling that I absorbed a lot of stuff. Now, I have such a tense internal body (nothing that progressive muscle relaxation seems to help with) it's hard to feel intuitive at all anymore, it's kind of depressing. It's as if the bridge between my conscious and subconscious brain has been burned (a bridge I didn't wanna burn!) Anyway, the reason I've been getting back into this is because I need to exercise my mind as a whole again. Any tips would be useful.

Eric; change the way you are talking about yourself; statements like i feel stupider do absolutely no good at all. You are programming yourself with negative things that don't help. Replace the negative self talk with affirmations like i am a powerful learner or i learn easily or i can learn anything i want to. Remember to relax. Remember how that is mentioned in the photoreading book and learning course that being in a relaxed state is crucial to learning and that stress interferes with learning.

First I suggest you have a good look at the all or nothing thinking. I seriously doubt that every decision you've made has been poor. I'll bet you made the decision to fill the tank on your car before you ran out of gas a good decision. To get dressed before you go out... a good decision. There would be more
so get back to the basics and list the everyday decisions that seem automatic.

As for decisions you've made that seem to have poor outcomes don't see them as bad decision but as learning experiences. When you think you made a poor choice you're just changing your mind and think the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. You have no idea really what kind of a mess the choice you made actually did save you from. Nor do you know how much more you can grow as a result of the other decision. We grow by facing challenges that take us out of our xomfort zones.

So Remember the Natural Brilliance Model.

Now for the PhotoReading front.

Grab a stack of books on making decisions, 5-6 do a Direct Learning, Also 5-6 books overcoming procastination. (They often include sections for overcoming fear of making wrong choices). Then another Direct Learning on Self-Confidence and Self Esteem.

You know how to PhotoRead. Trust that and you don't need to activate. Tell your nonconscious mind you want to make better choices and handle the life events better.

Gee, how did I know you'd be the first to jump to reply. Predictable, but be more original next time. Nice try, though.

But maybe I did forget something I used to know and practice....

Hi Eric,

I was thinking whether to post a reply to you or not. Finally I decided to reply.

It seems you have been able to work yourself into a corner, to put it mildly. Making decisions can be the most challenging everyday task people do. Luckily there are ways to learn it on purpose.

Have you used Paraliminals? To my experience they are the most effective self-help cds on the market. I have used them now 6-8 months, 1-3 Paraliminals each day. Now finally my mind has decided to take a break (7 days without Paraliminals now), and things are happening on their own.

You may benefit from Richard Bandler's cds also. They are something else! He gives you a direction to go, and if you can do it, the rest is history!

Take some distance from your bad feelings. How? Concentrate on good feelings! Make a decision to concentrate on any good feeling you have. Talk to yourself in a loving tone. Never use an angry or depressed tone on yourself. Walk straight, keep your eyes open. Congratulate yourself every time you notice yourself doing these things! Every good thing you do to yourself comes back 1000-folded.

If you concentrate on bad feelings and mistakes, that is what you'll find. Yeah, it's an old saying, and valid too. You may feel that your old habits are comfortable like an old shoe, when you are faced with a situation where you can get rid of them. It can hurt to change old habits! But in retrospect you'll be most grateful to yourself for that change. doens't it hurt to wallow in your current habits...!?

Sometimes change is fast sometimes slow. Be gentle with yourself if it is slow. use every opportunity to make your future better and feel good at every moment. Try the LSC coaching. Put your name on the SFQ healing list. Trust yourself and your friends.

my 2cents,
-purjo
