What exactly is a textbook? Only books, teaching e.g. physics, math, languages ...?
Or is e.g. Tony Buzans Mind-Map book a textbook too? It consists of around 29 chapters and teaches how to write and use mind maps. Should such a book, from PR point of view, be handled as textbook too?

Each chapter in a textbook covers a specific area. Most people would not see th Mind-Map book as a textbook unless they are training to become mind mapping instructors and the book happens to be part of the curriculum.

It can if you are doing detailed learning with it be handled like a textbook.

A textbook is a book that contains concepts and/or formulas/procedures - A BOOK (not an article or an extract but a book) THAT TRIES TO TEACH YOU SOMETHING.

The total opposite of such a book would be a novel. This a book that tells a story and is not trying to teach you something.
