Subvocalise is like reading without producing sound. However the mind still reads to itself.(i.e. you can hear the sound in your head) How can you train yourself so that when you read a word, you won't produce a sound, whether aloud or in your mind?
Cheers,
Rudolf Lai.

I think at first, if you practice on articles it will help you break the habit, you should try to use your super reading and dipping skills at first. The trick is to understand the material without saying in your head. It is kind of hard to explain but I try to use my skills on everything I read. Hope this helps.

How can I understand what I read in that moment?

In normal reading or superread/dip/skittering when I read I understand every word, and I get comprehension from that words.

Superread fast. You'll get there.
