My biggest problem is that if I read faster I cant grasp or recognize the words coming at me at such a fast pasted. I subvocalize, and sometime even when I do that I tend to read word phrases either backwards or I seem to even add words to a sentence that isn't even there.

Can photo reading help me with this?

How so??... I mean I really do tend to read words into a sentence I'm reading; words that aren't there then I find myself going back and re reading them in order to get the sentence right the second time. This is something photo reading can help with or is this something beyond photoreading?

KDJ323,

If I have understood the photoreading process correcly, and your way of reading, the way it works is like this:

When you photoread you don't actually read the document/book, you open up a channel into your subconcious (other-than-concious) mind, which is the part that controls your body, arm/finger/leg movement, your heartbeat, breathing, makes you see images in your inner mind etc.

That part of your brain is hundreds of thousands of times faster and more efficient that the thinking part of your mind and can do millions of things simultaneously. The trick is getting into a state of mind so that your thinking mind does not get in the way.

You feed images of the bookpages directly into your memory, which contains all the experiences you ever had, and has nearly unlimited capacity.

Your thinking mind has no knowledge of this process because it can only do about 3-5 things at the same time. This process goes far too fast for your thinking mind, but your subconcious (other-than-concious) mind has full control of the process if done right.

If things have gone according to plan, after the photoreading is done, and you start activating what you have photoread, you let your subconcious (other-than-concious) mind know what it is you need to know (with probing questions), and it feeds the answer to the questions back to your thinking mind just like when you get an idea, or suddenly remember something you learned before, like you have allways known it.

Reading on the other hand is done with your thinking mind, which can only do a very limited amount of things at the same time. You can only recognize a few words at a time. And especially when you have the bad habit of subvocalizing (I also have that habit, which can be hard to break), you tell yourself that this is the way reading is done, so you can never go any faster than what you think you can until you break the habit of subvocalizing. That is when you read the normal way.

Hope this might help a little.

Alex, please let me know if I am on the right track here, as this is my understanding.

That's what all the steps in the system are there for. If it's not working you skipped something

Simply said. You have a preconscious processor and PhotoReading and all the steps associated with the system are deliberately using the preconscious processor.

And yes, there is scientific research that proves we process information preconsciously.

And yes, the research has proven that this can be accessed when we don't use "normal" focus.

The was mentioned on my blog shortly after it was released.
