"I'm photoreading this book so I'll do well on my test." To me that does not sound like a good purpose. It seems very vague not clear at all. You need to be very clear about your purpose. What you mentioned seems very unclear.
So what will you do with the information from this book? Pass the test of course BUT you need to be very SPECIFIC about what you want to get from the book. So your purpose could be my purpose is to get the facts and information from this book on geography & learn it so i will be able to pass the test.
So go back to the table of contents and look at how the book is setup and go through the book and find out what the author of the book feels is important and use the purpose of finding out what facts and information are important than activate it by superread and dip, skittering, rapid read and mindmapping.
