Learn the system first on easy material that you want to read rather than material you have to read.
Build your successes by starting small crawl before you walk. When you have some success with lighter material rather than textbook material you learn both the system and the approach to activation.
It's a challenge, you need to set a solid purpose. Once you learn how to set your purpose on a lighter book you can see whether your purpose on a law book is going to work or not.
