I never said anywhere it reduces effectiveness. I said it is unnecessary.

If you have a different purpose after your first activation just activate for that new purpose. 9 out of 10 times you don't need to PhotoRead the book again.

The likely exception would be textbooks relating to courses. Those you are supposed to "read" more than once anyway.

Paul PhotoRead a book and didn't activate it till 5 years later. Spontaneously opened the book to the answer he required. I've got a few books I haven't activated. My purpose may be different but the information is the same. So a book that I might have done nothing more with than PhotoRead to find out if there is anything useful to me. My have a specific purpose later. I don't bother PhotoReading it again. I would if I was having trouble with the activation.
