ANd well Photoread4me, im just plain confused. I don't know what my purpose is really , i can't seem to find a real clear purpose to use PR and make it work for me in regards to academics. Ill talk to my coach about it...thanks for taking the time to reply.

dcromagirl; you got to have a purpose. Photoreading will not work without a purpose. You'll need to resolve this problem of not having a purpose because photoreading doesn't work without a purpose. That is why so many people have a problem with activation. They don't have a purpose. Yes definitely speak to your photoreading coach about this so you can get this problem resolved and get the results you seek.

To discover your purpose for the textbook ask yourself what you plan to do with the information in the future. How will it play a part in your career? What will you need to know to use it in your future?

As an example you might be studying maths for a career as an investment banker. Some of these formulas will be important to know to accurately work out whether the investment will work or not. So your purpose would be to know the information "so you can" succeed as an investment banker. That's a very large purpose so you may want to chunk it to say I need to know these formulas "so I can" pass the exam (which will ultimately serve me in my career of...)
