Has it ever occured to anyone that maybe the photoreading step not only puts the pages into our subconscious mind but creates a link between our subconscious minds and that of the authors?

What I mean is, if someone writes a book, they put their whole heart and soul into it, needless to say it's alot of work. When we photoread it we are bypassing our conscious minds and are probably bypassing all of our limiting beliefs about what's possible also. How can we not be connected to the author if we download alot of what the author himself has said.

Yes. You can take it even further. You don't even need to open the book to make that connection.

But first people want to know PhotoReading works.

Alex,

WOW! What you say is quite intriguing, regarding connecting to an author and his/her books, without even opening the books!!?? I know you stated in an earlier post that a man named Edgar Cayce obviously did it. Out of curiosity I looked up Edgar Cayce in the boookstores and libraries and saw the documents that there was such a man, half a century ago and he did indeed absorb books, by sleeping with them under his pillow at night! Amazing, as he (Edgar Cayce) was judged to be near illiterate, yet he could reproduce verbatim, pages out of the book, when in a hypnotic state!

Just less than two years ago, I was one of those people saying that Photoreading was impossible and everyone involved with it was in some sort of cultlike trance! I had many years of advanced medical classes and psychology study and inevitably was "stuck in the box". on conventional thinking. I totally thought the idea of reading with peripheral vision and photofocus was utterly ridiculous!

What swayed me to even consider giving PR a trial , were the number of competent great achievers in my Anthony Robbins seminars, including my Anthony Robbins personal coach, who swore that it was making their lives better! I reluctantly tried it, with a spirit of proving they were wrong! However, I gave it a fair try, without self sabotaging it!
I followed Paul Scheele's directions, with hesitancy! I expected it not to work

Well, the rest is history and my reading speed and comprehension have improved at least 1000%, ( yes there are 3 zeroes - I do mean ONE THOUSAND), based on the number of books I now read per month, based on how much synoptic reading I do, based on how much I recall and internalize of books I find useful, and my ability to use what I learn to find new resources at libraries, internet, seminars, etc...

Alex, I learn so much from your posts, and do not take any of your postings lightly! If you say one can absorb a book, like Edgar Cayce did, without even opening the pages, I will look into it, although I find it hard to believe.

Since I have been doing PR, I have been able to go to libraries, bookstores, and internet sites, and locate information I need much faster than usual! It seems almost magic or I guess, as LSC might term it--Natural Genius in action. I also know the real power of the subconscious, when I use the New Options Generator, Paul Scheele describes in the Natural Brilliance textbook! It is amazing how I blast through what would have seemed like insurmountable obstacles years ago!!
I know there must be other people on this post, who are feeling like I do!?

Where can I find more about this? Chris Payne also mentioned subconscious mind sharing in the teleseminar, a few months ago and now I am getting interested!

Thank you for your time in reading my inquiry.

I learned the Psi ability of "Scanning" from Eric Pepin (www.higherbalance.com) and I honestly didn't get Photoreading to work for me until I started scanning the books and not necessarily photoreading them.

Scanning is touching something with your heart energy and "feeling" it rather than using a sense to sense it. I got a hand out from Higher Balance with a course I bought from them called "Mind Touch" that teaches it. It's on sale now for $19 but I think you have to call them to get that price. When I photoread the pages I Mind Touch them instead and don't rely on the eyes to do the work. It's pretty cool.

Edgar Cayce is amazing, you can't go wrong reading everything you can about him.

raleigh199,

I had a long and probably interesting post written in reply but I deleted it. Deliberately

Why? You said yourself that you found the idea of PhotoReading improbable and yet because others were doing it you gave it an open minded go.

Much of what we were taught in the school system was pot luck. No one systematically knew what the individual needed to understand in order learn. It was memorise this. figure that out. And when you asked, " How" you were told just do it. Many struggled. It's unnecessary there are techniques for accelerated learning, learn to learn. The foundation is laid with a step by step approach.

With PhotoReading Paul has developed a step by step approach. Which, once we find the 100th monkey for PhotoReading, may make some of the steps redundant. For now
we apply what we know we need to do to successfully apply PhotoReading.

If you would have encountered this topic before your coaches convinced you to give PhotoReading a go you would have thought you were entering the twilight zone. You would have had a harder time putting PhotoReading to work for you. If you even dared to go there.

Since people who visit this forum are often new to PhotoReading they wouldn't be ready for this topic.

Those who are 'into' the topic would be looking for a shortcut not realising that as with all skills there is an amount of effort that must be applied to gain the understanding of the body mind connection. You learned to tie your shoelace doing it step by step over and over. Same as learning to ride a bike, learning to crawl then walk and learning to drive. With each of these skills there is a required responsibility (read respond ability) that is developed with experience.

For those who think it's hocus pocus ...

Fortunately you don't have to enter the twilight zone. You get, at least, the same level of comprehension using the PhotoReading system as you do with traditional reading.

That said. I recommend the book Holographic Universe as a beginners primer for anyone who is curious to know "is this really my only reality or do I have other options?" It doesn't answer the question, it opens a few more doors like the one that was opened for you with this topic.

It helps that that book is based on documented research but is an easy to read book.

It's going to be great when they start teaching PhotoReading in schools. It looks like to see that happen we need to reach the 100th monkey.. (I am assuming that the majority of the readers know about that research if not lets start a new thread on beyond human)

Coldrayne , interesting post as always, what you said on the other thread gave the impression of the Direct learning ,natural brilliance model. I see you took an altogether different approach. Its unfortunate that "mind touch" is not sold seperatley on Pepin's site, nor anywhere else on the web for that matterr and I'm not too fond of buying the whole meditive power package either.

The below passage comes into question;

"Those who are 'into' the topic would be looking for a shortcut not realising that as with all skills there is an amount of effort that must be applied to gain the understanding of the body mind connection. You learned to tie your shoelace doing it step by step over and over. Same as learning to ride a bike, learning to crawl then walk and learning to drive. With each of these skills there is a required responsibility (read respond ability) that is developed with experience."

Will all this psi-talk my curiousity is risen further than ever, although such advanced skills as these and other possibilitys are not news to me. Of course I doubt I'll be performing any of these feats soon. Pr is still proving a struggle.
As you said yourself Alex, there are no shortcuts just better competancy with experience and perhaps(in some cases) a dash of natural talent.

What introducing siliva dipped sticks for monkeys, hopefully photoreading will do for the human race...nice

You can find individual modules including "Mind Touch" here
www.higherbalance.com/modules

But I do have to warn you that you probably won't be able to get it to work unless you also do the Foundation Set. The Foundation meditation is just that, a foundation. Without the foundation you can't build anything on it. Most people only have their "psi" energy to call upon (which is the energy genarated by your nervous system) and it's not enough to do psychic work, unless you're Silvia Browne and you're being fed ethereavienously from a spirit guide, but that's another story. You need something else, a different kind of fuel. That' s what the foundation set teaches you how to do- how to get it.

The only other alternative is to take Chunyi Lin's Qi Gong course. If you know how to harness energy his way I think that' s good enough. I said the heck with being picky and did both.

How long did this take you to learn btw? How much ( to excuse a pun) foundation did you have on these techniques previously if any?
As you might imagine I am a little aprehensive about the cost but if it works what the heck.
I just hope your not going to tell me I need a sufficient level of chi channeling, chakra development or kabbalhic initiation to comes to grip with this.

Hypertext I recommend Silva Ultramind ESP for working with the body mind connection. If you do a live seminar you'll experience your own ESP ability during the course. Also useful for entering the Accelerated Learning State.

Spring Forest Qigong is good as is Meditation systems high Higher Balance. If you haven't done meditation and would like to see progress the start with Silva. If you want to go the PSI way, Silva Ultramind ESP course. If you want to go the Self Help way the old Silva Method course.

In fact You'll find the Silva is mentioned in the PhotoReading book as is Qigong and meditation. (pages 102 - 103)

Silva 2 days and you'll see potential.

hypertext,

The QiGong course is a couple hundred dollars and it took me about a week to get good at it. The Higher Balance Foundation set is about $80 and I had it mastered in about 5 meditations, or 3-4 days. My only other exposure to meditation was Zen, Hinduism and Holosync.

If you are apprehensive about the cost, if you compare the cost of all meditation packages you'll find that the Higherbalance at $80 is the cheapest of all routes and has a lifetime money back guarantee. Silva, Holosync and everything at LS also has a money back guarentee so why not try everything and return what you don't like?

I honestly didn't look at the price so much as I looked at how long you have to do it a day to get the results I wanted. I don't have the time to sit and meditate or do exercises for an hour at a time. I just don't have the time and inthe future when I decide to have kids, I'll have even less time. That's why I've gravitated toward techniques that can be done in 20 minutes or so a day. I know you've heard you can't get results in that little time a day but we've also heard from "experts" that Photoreading doesn't work and we all know here that that's just a lie.

I've even meditated for 10 minutes and gotten the same benefits that I get when I do it for 20 minutes. David Lucas Berg who sells that Perfect Pitch course in all the music magazines said in his course that you should only practice ear training for 10 minutes a day because after that it doesn't really matter. His reasoning was that if you take a shower for 10 minutes a day or 10 hours the result is the same. Once you're clean, you're CLEAN. You can't get more clean. I've noticed the same thing is true with the HB foudation meditation. Your energy body is like a sponge and once you're filled with energy and you're at that tonal, that vibration, that frequency- you can't get MORE there. You're there! Of course over time you can absorb more and more energy (that's the point) but even at that you get better and better at it and that means faster and faster so you never have to increase the time you spend doing it. I have a life, I have stuff to do so that's more the reason why I've chosen to do what I've chosen to do.

If I was retired you'd bet my sweat *** I'd do Holosync, get a massage, get a QIGong treatment, light up my chakras, stand on my head, sit and meditate for hours just because I had the time.
