I had a long and probably interesting post written in reply but I deleted it. Deliberately
Why? You said yourself that you found the idea of PhotoReading improbable and yet because others were doing it you gave it an open minded go.
Much of what we were taught in the school system was pot luck. No one systematically knew what the individual needed to understand in order learn. It was memorise this. figure that out. And when you asked, " How" you were told just do it. Many struggled. It's unnecessary there are techniques for accelerated learning, learn to learn. The foundation is laid with a step by step approach.
With PhotoReading Paul has developed a step by step approach. Which, once we find the 100th monkey for PhotoReading, may make some of the steps redundant. For now
we apply what we know we need to do to successfully apply PhotoReading.
If you would have encountered this topic before your coaches convinced you to give PhotoReading a go you would have thought you were entering the twilight zone. You would have had a harder time putting PhotoReading to work for you. If you even dared to go there.
Since people who visit this forum are often new to PhotoReading they wouldn't be ready for this topic.
Those who are 'into' the topic would be looking for a shortcut not realising that as with all skills there is an amount of effort that must be applied to gain the understanding of the body mind connection. You learned to tie your shoelace doing it step by step over and over. Same as learning to ride a bike, learning to crawl then walk and learning to drive. With each of these skills there is a required responsibility (read respond ability) that is developed with experience.
For those who think it's hocus pocus ...
Fortunately you don't have to enter the twilight zone. You get, at least, the same level of comprehension using the PhotoReading system as you do with traditional reading.
That said. I recommend the book Holographic Universe as a beginners primer for anyone who is curious to know "is this really my only reality or do I have other options?" It doesn't answer the question, it opens a few more doors like the one that was opened for you with this topic.
It helps that that book is based on documented research but is an easy to read book.
It's going to be great when they start teaching PhotoReading in schools. It looks like to see that happen we need to reach the 100th monkey.. (I am assuming that the majority of the readers know about that research if not lets start a new thread on beyond human)
