One of my goals in learning the system was to enrich my general knowledge. Due to that, in most of the cases in which I consider photoreading a book I do so in order to know more about the subject the book is dealing with and not with a speciefic purpose of "I want to get this and that out of the book".
It seems that most of the activation techniques deal with getting speciefic bits of information which my mind tells me are of interest to me, and not knowing what's in the book as a whole. I never expected having a perfect recall of everything in the book, yet I wonder if "knowing more about what the book deals with" can be my purpose, and if so what should my approach to activating be? Am I missing something?

Thanks
