The words are blurry because you are using your peripheral vision. The mind has always been able to understand what you see with your peripheral vision. Once it's figured out how important it is it causes you to change your focus.

Focus is really a mental thing. Much like the photographer adjusting the lens of a camera. It's the photographers mind that directs the camera to make sharp certain parts of the picture. To the camera it's all clear. To the mind it all makes sense.

The eye does not see it's the mind that sees.
