Gallen,
Thank you very much once again. You are so helpful and patient with us.
So is the huiyin where the perineum is? Are we to pull up there as the abdomen pulls in during inhalation? I find it's easier to breath this way if I focus more on the upper body expanding instead of the abdomen contracting/pulling in (I hope I am interpreting this correctly, that when Master Lin says to pull in the stomach a little, he means the abdomen).

Bluebird,
Thank you for posting this very valuable info from the Master himself.

Yes, I think I am getting more comfortable with this way of breathing now. The restricting kind of feeling in the throat is reducing, sometimes not present at all. And I notice occasions of spontaneously breathing this way. The funny thing is, that years ago, I started to consciously practise belly breathing, to a point of always 'practising' breathing this way, ie, never letting that breath go, especially when I was thinking about it. A polarity therapist pointed that out to me last year. Until then, I thought I was doing really well, as far as breathing 'correctly' went, full bodied abdomen breathing. Now I just breathe. Or I let it breathe me.
