Hello, all!
I'm beginning with the program now and, from the first day, my sleep reduced from 8 to 6 hours. Is this normal?
I'm using it with the intention of losing weight. So, I'm bending my knees. But my legs get shaky and I sweat a lot while doing the Active Exercises. Also, I can't really relax. Sometimes my shoulders are tense, sometimes my butt, and always my tighs(because of the bending knees. Is this the way it should be? And is there anything else I should know for losing weight using SF? I do Atkin's Diet, and is incredible how everybody I know lose weight really fast, while I stay 2-3 weeks to lose 1K. So I want to see if SF will help me.
And a last doubt: Sometimes I'm breathless following the breathing patterns from the exercise, and I end up inhaling in the wrong way and at the wrong time. What could it be?

Thank you

Sounds like you're doing pretty good, I don't know about the sleep, though. When you bend your knees, don't think about it as just bending the knees; you want to sink your spine straight down as if there were a vertical rod going through it straight to the ground, and don't let your knees go any farther than directly over your toes. You want to relax into it, your thigh muscles may hurt for a while in the beginning until you start using more of the internal muscles, and let your bones, tendons and ligaments take more of the weight. Another thing you want to do is keep your spine straight, tuck your tailbone, but don't pinch the cheeks. You can put a hand on your lower lumbar to check if your back is straight. Your back should eventually be truely perpendicular to the ground and it does feel pretty weird at first.

About breathing: This should feel natural. It's usually easiest to inhale as you do one motion, and exhale as you do another. You will eventually want to be capable of long, deep and flowing breaths, but don't push it too much. Give your body time to change.

Drink Yin Yang water every morning, too. (Directions are on one of the first four audio tapes--if you don't remember it, then you should probably reivew all four tapes any way.)

Add a post here in a couple of weeks to remind me to add additional insights, etc., for weight loss that are part of the new Level 2 program coming out this summer.

Plus, we've recorded a video tape for weight loss. We hope to have that available this summer. In the mean time keep up your practice.

Thank you all for the attention. I'll do as you told and post the results.
Again, thank you!

Hi Pete. I was just going over some old comments, and I came upon your reply saying that you were doing a video tape on weight loss, is this coming out any time soon?

Just a note one the reduced sleep.
I find that if I am doing a full daily program of SFQ work, I sleep less. In fact, it has gotten to be a cosmic joke. It is almost like I get awakened, or a nudge, early in the morning. I usually have a wake up dream. They usually are a type of dream that wakes me, and lets me know, sometimes in a humrous way, that I should get up, exercise, and that I will feel good about the day if I do. I guess the master's/teachers have a sense of humor! It gets me smiling right away.

Copies of the tape were produced and distributed to see how well it works. Unless I am mistaken, there are not any other tapes available now.

Remember to bend your knees when practicing!
