1) If you can hear the music without the tape, use the same means to hear his voice.
2) Rubbing your hands together is the first move of the Ending: Harvesting Qi
That is massaging the hands. In step 10, you are also massaging the backs of your hands.
It is beneficial at times to just massage your ears or face, etc.
3)In general, I would say an active exercise, like the moving of yin and yang, or the first three active exercises together are more effective. For me, "short", and "meditation" are two diffferent things, although, I think you can relax yourself in a short period of time. The self concentration tape has one go through the body and open up channels section by section. That is a good method. Bouncing up and down is a good way to begin either, as far as relaxing and opening up goes. Often, if I travel, and I am working hard or have limited privacy, laying down in bed when you go to sleep, is a great time to relax and regenerate. At that time, you could do a whole meditation tape. I carry a Sony walkman with headphones, which allows you to listen to a tape anytime, in private.
4)I do the whole thing(I assume you meant Harvesting Qi exercises) at least once a day. If i do the active exercises in the morning, and do the whole thing, then at noon do a meditation, I just do the shortened version.
