Hi, Claire
Anxiety is one of those things where you get *some* help from a relaxation tape or Qi Gong, but you get the most help (usually) by talking over what you're anxious about, and taking some steps, however hesitant or uncertain they may be, to do something about the issue.
In that regard, if you like, you might want to email me privately at moochy_hope@yahoo.com.
Or seek out a counselor you already may know and trust, and begin regular sessions.
Or if you are already doing all the above and are still feeling deep anxiety, there are some new psychotherapies that could help.
Or you might try one of the anti-anxiety medications. I'm not a big fan of anxiety meds UNLESS you are already trying 100% on your problems and still feel a kind of overarching anxiety that does not quit and that gets in the way of work or normal social relationships. The problem here is that you don't want to cut down on your symptoms too much, because they provide motivation to change!!
Hope my 2 cents worth helps give a little perspective, Claire. (And, while I'm at it, thanks again for your loving responses to my cancer problem in the past.)

best wishes,
Mike

Pete,
I am in pretty good physical health but do suffer from anxiety. I am doing one exercise for about ten to fifteen mintues per day. I try to go outside early in the morning and find it relaxing. But, is it going to take me forever to see any results and will I see any? Doing it 1 to 2 hours a day is just not my cup of tea. Maybe if i had a group to do it-
