the last few weeks I haven't been feeling the energy during the joining of yin and yang. I've been doing sfq for a few months. when I first started the program I felt the energy strongly as if I was actually holding a ball. Anyone have any feedback as to what is happening?

Chunyi says that as a beginner pratices, he/she begins to open energy channels and energy reservoirs.

When the reservoirs open, it will take more and more energy to fill the reservoirs during which time you may not feel the energy. After one to two to three weeks of practice the reservoirs will fill and you will again feel the energy.

It lasted a couple of weeks for me when I first began. Just practice and practice and the feeling will return.

I did not know about energy reservoirs. That is very good to know. Thanks for that information. When I first started SFQ I was practicing 3 or 4 different styles of qigong. Master Lin said I was using them to keep feeling the qi, in the sense that I would plateau, then shift to another form and feel something again. Everytime I would lose feeling, switching would create feeling again. The downside was that I wasn't really progressing, and in hindsight, perhaps not filling a "reservoir" and moving on to a higher level. This is also an important aspect of why it is important to focus on one system. It is the most effective way to continually progress.
